Learning a language and cooking is a most ingenious and fun way of tasting our language! Italian classes at Amalelingue focusing on cooking in Italian are preparatory for catering college and offer functions, structures and vocabulary that pave a way to culinary art – both Italian and Genoese cuisine culture.
Program includes cultural activities, walks through the city to visit historical shops, as well as a trip out of town.

Italian course

A totally different course: the Italian classes will introduce the cooking sessions through advance preparation for functions, structures and vocabulary necessary for the practicum. Invaluable cultural knowledge about the city and its surrounding areas will be provided.

cookery class

Classes will have you engrossed in the preparation of the meals which you got to know during Italian language lessons.
Naturally the ensuing dinner will allow the delicacies made by you to be savored!

9.00 – 12.00 Italian course
17.00 – 20.00 cookery course: bread and pasta
dinner menu: focaccia genovese, bread, tagliatelle, ravioli, torta di rose (rose cake)

Tuesday
9.00 – 12.00 Italian course
17.00 – 20.00 cookery course: Ligurian cooking
dinner menu: stuffed vegetables, trenette or corzetti al pesto (typical Liguria pasta), stuffed anchovies, ‘Panarello’ cake

Wednesday
9.00 – 12.00 Italian course
17.00 – 20.00 cookery course: fish
dinner menu: oranges fennels and sword fish salad, spaghetti with clams, fish à la Ligurian, panna cotta

Thursday
9.00 – 12.00 Italian course
17.00 – 20.00 cookery course: light summer cooking
dinner menu: panzanella, venere black rice, lemon and tuna mousse salad, surprise cake

Friday
9.00 – 12.00 Italian course
17.00 – 20.00: ‘slow tour’ in Genova and aperitif

Saturday
visito to an olive press on the Riviera

Total price: € 480 + € 50 registration fee
Total price has to be paid when enrolling.

The price includes
– Italian course and teaching material
– cookery course, recipes, ingredients and meals, drinks
– “slow tour”: walks through the city to visit historical shops

Aperitivo and Saturday trip are not included.

If you want to enrol at our school, please follow these steps:

1. fill in the application form;
2. upon receipt of our written confirmation, please pay a deposit (30% total amount + € 50 annual registration fee). Only upon receipt of the deposit will your enrolment be considered valid.
