Study visa
EU citizens do not need a visa.
A tourist visa is requested for non EU citizens.
Students who want to stay longer than 3 months can apply for a student visa.
Upon request, Amalelingue can provide the following documents necessary to apply for a student visa at the Italian Embassy in your country:
– enrolment certificate, provided that we receive confirmation of payment by the bank for the whole amount of the course;
– course payment receipt;
– renting contract or hotel reservation, if arranged through Amalelingue.
If you have been denied the visa of entry, please notify us in writing at least 20 days before the course starts and attach copy of the document issued by the Italian Embassy specifying refusal. Only in this case can students be refunded the total amount paid minus € 100 to cover general expenses.
Students waiting for the visa are kindly requested to notify if there are any delays.
Codice fiscale (Tax Code)
The Tax Cod is a personal code which identifies each person in Italy for use by Public Administration. It is released by Agenzia delle Entrate (Italian Tax Authorities)
Transport upon arrival
From Brignole and Principe Station
Bus/metro: Bus/metro tickets is 1,50 € , 100-minute ride).
They can be purchased at “Tabacchi” shops (tobacconists), newsstands, and vending machines at the station.
Taxi: Standard fare from Brignole or Principe station to city center is about 10-15 €, to the suburbs in the city around 20 €.
From C.Colombo Airport
Volabus: 30-minute ride to get to Brignole, Principe or Piazza De Ferrari. Tickets are 6 € and can be purchased on board or at the airport.
Taxi: Taxis are available at arrivals (ground floor). From Airport to Principe and Brignole – special fares of € 7/8 per person (min. 3). For more information about the fares: http://5966.it/preventivi-online.

Tickets can be purchased at Amt ticket offices Trenitalia ticket offices, point of sales (newsstands, tobacconists, authorized supermarkets and all Amt vending machines).
When boarding, ticket must be punched at the facility provided on board (during retail closing hours, tickets can be purchased on board from 20.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m., €2.50 – cash only).
Passengers on board without a ticket are subject to a €40/60 fine.
Passes
Long-term students can purchase weekly or monthly passes.

Opening hours
Generally, stores are open from Monday to Saturday 9.00 – 13.00 and 15.30 – 19.00. In the city center many stores are open every day with extended hours.
Bank opening hours
Banks are open Monday to Friday, generally 8.30 – 13.30 and 14.45 to 15.45.
